Pericles and Much Ado About Nothing
With Hip to Hip Theatre Company, I had the privilege of performing in Pericles and Much Ado in repertory, in several beautiful parks across the New York Area. On top of the exhilarating freedom and exploration that comes with performing Shakespeare, I will always be incredibly grateful for the lasting family I found with Hip to Hip. It was such an honor to work with such talented, driven, warm, and generous people on this pair of incredible plays.

As You Like It
This production of As You Like It was anything but typical, but Shakespeare's themes of love and power were still very much intact. It was a great honor to be cast in the role of Rosalind, and I had the most incredible time playing her. A true Shakespearean character, Rosalind has a remarkably strong sense of urgency that carries her through diverse sets of circumstances. It was so exciting to see the world through her eyes, and I was certainly pleased to have her be my last role on the Five Towns College stage.

The Drowsy Chaperone
Directed by the lovely Jenny Grober, Drowsy was a show filled with imagination and whimsy. In this production, I had the privilege of playing the narrator, originally called the "Man in Chair". Rather than playing the character "as a woman", I saw this role as a space where the obligation to perform gender was completely nonexistent. It was such a blast playing an agoraphobic theatre geek with absolutely no people skills, but the real fun of the role was being able to sit and watch my friends blow the roof off of the theatre with their talent.

For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide / When the Rainbow Is Enuf
For Colored Girls is such a beautiful piece, written by the late, great Ntozake Shange. It comprehensively illustrates what it means to be a black woman. I was a part of this show when I was a sophomore at Five Towns College. The company and I were blessed with the opportunity to mount this piece at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. We were received so wonderfully from those who saw it at both the college and the festival. This production will always hold such a special place in my heart. It was certainly one of the first that made me feel like I was contributing to something meaningful.
